Introducing our team
CEO
I trained as an appeals caseworker at Refugee and Migrant Justice, where I represented asylum seekers from their screening interviews through to full representation before the First-Tier Tribunal.
I have now worked in the migrant sector for 20 years including Refugee Action, JCWI and BID (Bail for Immigration Detainees), and voluntary work for Latin American House.
I enjoy working with people from different cultures and I am passionate about standing up for the rights of disadvantaged groups that have come to the UK .
I have spent six years in Latin America and speak Spanish.

Clive Blackwood
Over the last seventeen years I have worked predominately within the National Health Service within the field of mental health as a Senior Manager supporting the delivery of psychological services to Children & Young People and supporting parents and carers.
With my current and previous working experience in the field of both Adult and Children’s mental Health, I bring an understanding of the psychological impact of migration on the lives of others, and seek to strengthen how WWMS can offer support and advocacy for a marginalised and vulnerable group, ensuring the organisation delivers a high standard of service, and has an ambitious mission, vision and strategy whilst supporting good outcomes for service users.

A native of Scotland, I have lived in London for over thirty years, and value the ethnic and cultural diversity so prevalent in the city. I work as a Network Architect for a large IT consultancy, and have served as treasurer since the charity inauguration. I contribute in the area of IT support, and am a member of Broadmead Baptist Church.
I strongly support the charity goal of empowering vulnerable migrants to build brighter futures.
