Volunteering with the Woodford and Wanstead Migrant Support (WWMS) has been an incredibly rewarding experience that has profoundly impacted both my personal and professional development. Over the course of my time with WWMS, I have not only developed a range of new skills but also gained a deeper understanding and empathy for the migrant community in the Woodford and Wanstead area.
When I first joined WWMS, I was eager to make a difference but unsure of what to expect. From the outset, the organization provided comprehensive training and ongoing support, which allowed me to hone various skills, including effective communication, cultural sensitivity, and crisis management. These skills have not only been invaluable in my volunteer work but have also enriched my everyday interactions and professional pursuits.
